Join us 5/28 for Voices for Justice: An Evening of Art, Hope & Resilience
Our partner Root & Rebound is hosting its first virtual fundraising event, Voices for Justice: An Evening of Art, Hope, and Resilience, on May 28th from 6-8 pm PST. They need our support to make this event a resounding success. Join them on the 28th! Root & Rebound is a national nonprofit that focuses on people most impacted by mass incarceration.
Voices for Justice is an answer to so many of the issues that Root & Rebound fights against in their work for justice: the silence that shrouds issues like mass incarceration, criminal justice disparities, and the impact of COVID-19 on the incarcerated and formerly incarcerated. Throughout the night, a range of dynamic poets and artists will speak truth to power through a blend of spoken word pieces, storytelling, and songs. The feature poet is grammy-nominated poetic voice, Sekou Andrews.
Most importantly, all gifts made on the 28th will raise money for Root & Rebound’s work on the frontlines, supporting communities most impacted by mass incarceration as they navigate the COVID-19 pandemic.
